Indie Film Studio Aims to Fill Void Left by Hollywood Pullback, Bloomberg

The New York-based company will finance and distribute 10 to 12 movies a year with budgets of $10 million or less, aiming to fill a niche represented by movies such as Fox Searchlight’s “Juno,” which was made for $7.5 million and has earned $231.4 million worldwide since its 2007 release.
