Charlene Fisher - President and Chief Operating Officer
Charlene Fisher has 16 years of experience in business development and restructuring in the entertainment, sports and Internet industries. Fisher’s experience as both strategic planning and new business development consultant as well as well as CEO and president of small, cutting edge companies provides her with the operational and managerial experience DF Independent Studios (DFIS) will need to reach its greatest level of success. Fisher’s focus will be on implementing operational structure, strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, investor communication and management/leadership for DFIS.
Among her accomplishments include work with some of the most recognizable consumer and entertainment brands and properties including GE Asset Management, France Telecom/GlobeCast, ABC, NBC, HBO, CBC, ESPN, The Golf Channel, USA Networks, The Masters, the NBA, NHL, MLB, the PGA and LPGA Tours, the AVP Tour, the WTA Tour, World Cup 1998, String and A Can Productions and RedBone Films.
Fisher most recently restructured and managed a portfolio company for GE Asset Management and then worked with RedBone Films to develop a dynamic new independent film production business model. This model was the predecessor to DFIS. RedBone Films’ first indie production, Stephanie Daley, went on to receive numerous film festival awards including the prestigious 2006 Sundance Film Festival Screenwriter’s Award.
