With extreme sports film production company TGR, she restructured debt with: banks, talent, and industry suppliers; secured representation with leading talent agency CAA; cut a mass market distribution DVD deal, developed multi-platform revenue streams; produced two NBC Primetime pilots with Ben Silverman’s television production company Reveille (producers of Biggest Loser, The Office, Ugly Betty); hired Aura 360 to secure and structure TGR’s deal Jeep World of Adventure Sports TV series on NBC.
Charlene Fisher has 16 years of experience in business development and restructuring in the entertainment, sports and Internet industries. Fisher’s experience as both strategic planning and new business development consultant as well as well as CEO and president of small, cutting edge companies provides her with the operational and managerial experience DF Independent Studios (DFIS) will need to reach its greatest level of success.
Rita Chiappetta-Thibault is a long time industry veteran, most recently serving as executive vice president finance and accounting for New Line Home Entertainment. She started her entertainment finance career at Vestron Inc. where she supported senior management in executing a successful IPO raising $185 million and later divesting the companies assets to a competitive buyer.
Amy Slotnick has been working as a studio production executive and independent film producer in the film industry for the past fifteen years. Amy started her career at Miramax Films working her way up to be senior vice president of production and development. She is currently executive vice president of production for DF Indie Studios (DFIS).
Stan most recently worked for Stanley Tucci and Steve Buscemi’s shingle – Olive Productions – and has a long list of production experience on the creative and financial side. Stan began his career working for 20th Century Fox based Largo Entertainment under producer/mentor Lawrence Gordon whose films have gone on to gross $3B worldwide. While based at Largo Stan worked as a Creative Executive and later as Manager of Acquisitions and Development. Films produced during his tenure include: Field of Dreams, Malcolm X, Used People, The Getaway, Judgment Night, Predator 2, Point Break, Unlawful Entry, The Rocketeer, Boogie Nights, Waterworld, and Timecop.
Ira Deutchman has been distributing films for 32 years, having worked on over 150 films including some of the most successful independent films of all time. He was one of the founders of Cinecom and later created Fine Line Features—two companies that were created from scratch and in their respective times, helped define the independent film business. Deutchman is also currently CEO of Emerging Pictures and a professor in the Graduate Film Division at Columbia University.
